Configure settings that affect how HeyJack works for your business.
Company Profile
This information appears on all customer-facing documents:
- Company Name - Legal business name
- DBA Name - "Doing Business As" if different
- Business Address - Used as return address on proposals
- Phone - Main business line
- Email - Used for reply-to on sent proposals
- License Number - Displayed on proposals (required in some states)
Branding Settings
Customize how your proposals look:
- Logo - PNG, JPG, or SVG. Appears top-left on proposals.
- Primary Color - Used for buttons and accents on customer portal
- Email Header - Optional banner image for email templates
Default Business Rules
These defaults apply to new estimates and invoices (can be overridden individually):
- Tax Rate - Default sales tax percentage
- Tax on Labor - Whether labor is taxable (varies by state)
- Estimate Validity - How long proposals are valid (default: 30 days)
- Payment Terms - Invoice due date (Net 15, Net 30, Due on Receipt)
- Deposit Requirement - Default deposit % or amount for proposals
Automation Settings
Configure automatic behaviors:
- Auto-create follow-up tasks - After estimates sent (default: 3 days)
- Auto-send invoice reminders - For overdue invoices (default: off)
- Auto-request reviews - After jobs completed (default: on)
- Approval threshold - Estimates above this amount need manager approval
Proposal Terms & Conditions
Set default legal language that appears on all proposals:
- Terms & Conditions - Payment expectations, scope limitations
- Warranty Statement - Your warranty policy
- Footer Text - Licensing info, insurance, certifications
Tip: Have a lawyer review your terms. Good terms protect you from disputes.
Business Hours
Set your operating hours for:
- Customer-facing scheduling (which time slots are available)
- Technician default schedules
- Notification quiet hours
Service Area
Define your service area to:
- Show on your customer-facing booking page
- Calculate drive times for scheduling
- Alert you if a job is outside your area
