Understanding the Dashboard

Learn what each part of the dashboard shows and how to use it effectively.

Dashboard Layout

Your dashboard is divided into several sections, each designed to show you what needs attention:

  • Top Stats - Key metrics at a glance
  • Tasks Widget - Your to-do items for today
  • Recent Estimates - Latest estimates and their status
  • Today's Schedule - Jobs scheduled for today
  • Revenue Chart - Trends over time

Dashboard Metrics Explained

Pending Estimates:

  • Count of estimates sent but not yet accepted/declined
  • Total dollar value of those estimates
  • Click to see the full list

Monthly Revenue:

  • Total invoiced amount this month
  • Comparison to last month
  • Only counts paid invoices

Close Rate:

  • Percentage of estimates accepted vs. total sent
  • Calculated over last 30 days
  • Excludes drafts and expired estimates

Jobs This Week:

  • Scheduled jobs for the current week
  • Completed vs. remaining

The Tasks Widget

Shows your most urgent tasks, prioritized by:

  1. Overdue tasks (should have been done already)
  2. Due today
  3. High priority upcoming

Quick actions: Click to complete, snooze, or view details.

Recent Estimates Status Colors

  • Gray (Draft) - Not sent yet
  • Blue (Sent) - Delivered, waiting for customer
  • Yellow (Viewed) - Customer opened it (good sign!)
  • Green (Accepted) - Won the job
  • Red (Declined/Expired) - Didn't convert

Click any estimate to see full details or take action.

Needs Attention

The dashboard highlights items that need your action:

  • Estimates viewed but not accepted (follow up!)
  • Invoices overdue for payment
  • Jobs scheduled with no technician assigned
  • Tasks past due

Customizing Your Dashboard

Click the gear icon to:

  • Show/hide widgets
  • Change the date range for metrics
  • Set your preferred first view

Role-Based Views

What you see depends on your role:

  • Owners/Managers - Full dashboard with all metrics
  • Technicians - Simplified view with only their schedule and tasks
